Veteran Games 2026 Gold Coast backed by SAVVY
Savvy Beverage: Proud Sponsor of the Veteran Games
Backing veteran mental health for the third year running.
Savvy Beverage is proud to return as a sponsor of the Veteran Games for 2026. Our third consecutive year supporting Australia's premier veteran competition.
As a social enterprise, supporting mental health is at the core of what we do. Savvy makes science-backed nootropic drinks, coffees and snacks, formulated by nutritionists to support calm, focus and mental performance. We sponsor several Australian mental health charities, and the Veteran Games sits right at the heart of that mission.
We back the Veteran Games because it gets mental health support right: connection over isolation, purpose over paperwork, and prevention before crisis. Watching teams of veterans train together, compete together and back each other over the obstacle wall is the best demonstration of community-driven mental fitness you'll see anywhere in the country.
Find us at the event village at Broadwater Parklands on 20–21 June. We'll be fuelling competitors and spectators all weekend with Savvy's calm and energy ranges. Come and say g'day.
To every veteran taking up the challenge this year: we're behind you. See you on the Gold Coast.

More information about event day:
The Veteran Heats
This is the main event. Teams of 8 (plus 2 reserves) made up of current or former serving military personnel, Australian or overseas, go head to head in challenges drawn straight from active service. You'll need to train up for the Team Obstacle Course Challenge, and there are surprise events revealed on the day that will test problem solving, teamwork and grit.
The champion team of the Gold Coast Heats wins sponsorship to compete at the Finals in South East Queensland later in the year.
Entry is free. Team captains register the team and team name first, and each team is allocated a competition time slot after registration. Competitors choose their day, Saturday or Sunday, during registration.
New for 2026: the Veteran Games Challenge, open to everyone
Not a veteran? This year you can still get amongst it. The Veteran Games Challenge is open to the public. Grab a battle buddy and compete in pairs on a military inspired course featuring obstacles, static fitness stations and a 500m run between each station. The target time is 30 minutes, so it's fast, functional and a proper test.
Entry is $50-75 per person, pairs only, and you'll pick your day during registration.

How to prepare
The organisers recommend training across stretcher carries, rope climbs, swimming 50m in clothes, 20kg to 50kg equipment carries, obstacle course fundamentals like walls and cargo nets, knots, basic first aid, tyre flipping, shuttle runs and stores carries over 100 to 200m. In short: train like you served.
For spectators
Bring the family. It's a free, family friendly weekend with plenty to watch, including the obstacle course, tug of war and casualty evacuation events, plus a vendor village to explore.
Why it matters
The Veteran Games is a proactive health initiative built by veterans, for veterans. It was designed to address key findings from the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide by bringing the veteran community together with purpose, improving physical and mental fitness, and celebrating the excellence of Australia's contemporary veterans.
